Queen’s Park

The Rainbow Montessori School includes two beautiful nurseries in prime locations throughout North West London.
Our very first nursery was established by Rainbow’s founder, Linda Madden, in our West Hampstead premises in 1982 and was followed with the opening of a second Queen’s Park in 2009.
Our nurseries cater for children aged 2 through to 5 years old.
Our ‘Queens Park’ Rainbow Montessori Nursery located in the heart of Queens Park is Rainbow’s most recent addition having opened in 2009. Our ‘Queens Park’ nursery is situated on Salsbury Road in a bright, open plan church hall close to all main transport links and the convenience of the high street.

As with all our Rainbow Nurseries, Queens Park follows traditional Montessorian teaching methods and structure. This together with its recent refurbishment and its big, beautiful garden/play area makes it the ideal Montessori Nursery for your child.

At Rainbow we always strive to provide the best quality environment and educational materials for your child- Queens Park is MEAB accredited and all our teachers are fully qualified in Montessori education by recognized Montessori Training Colleges.
The curriculum at Queens Park is very varied and always fun filled! If you would like to find out more about what our Queens Park Nursery gets up to and what activities and outings they have planned please feel free to take a peek at our public blog.

StaceyHi my name is Stacey,

I have been at Rainbow for 7 years.I have worked at both our Rainbow Nurseries (Queens Park & West Hampstead).

I continue to further my knowledge and experience which I am gaining through continual onsite Montessori training both in the method and the philosophy.

I have a keen interest in the Montessori system of education and I would like to use this experience at Rainbow to also grow in my role as a mother.

I am eager to learn more about Montessori and to develop my role further.

I look forward to learning alongside the children at Rainbow and meeting you all!

My name is Anna and I am working as a Nursery Teacher at Queens Park nursery.

I studied childcare level 2 in London. I previously worked for St. Mary's church for their Sunday school.

In my spare time I enjoy reading books, watching movies and spending time with my family and friends.

I am very excited to start my Rainbow journey with the Queens Park team.

Mia Sands

Montessori Teacher Mont. Dip. MCI

My name is Mia, and from the moment I discovered the work of Maria Montessori I knew I had found my vocation.

I trained at Montessori Centre International, and have a Degree in Montessori Education and Early Childhood Studies.

I was offered my first job at the same nursery where I did my initial teaching placement and was there for four years before I relocated to North West London.

I love to play the Ukulele and know the tunes for lots of nursery rhymes and songs. I also enjoy painting and creative art.

Maria Montessori believed that “one test of the correctness of educational procedure is the happiness of the child.”

The benefits of child-centred learning are all around us in the Montessori setting, and as a Montessori educator myself, I am privileged to be in a position to guide the children towards independence and fulfilment.

Angeliki Ward

Montessori Teacher Mont. Dip. MCI

The children call me Miss Angeliki and I love it.

I’ve been married for over 20 years and had my own child that is now grown-up. My association with Rainbow goes way back; it is thanks to the teaching and inspira

tion of Linda Madden that I trained as a Montessori teacher, also over 20 years ago.

Following my graduation and over the years, I have taught in various Montessori schools around London. I was lucky to have worked with children of various ages, countries and family backgrounds.

I was born in Greece where I grew up in a farm before moving to London, also many years ago.

I still love nature, flower arrangements, traveling, cooking and most expressions of art.

But working with children and helping them shape their development is a passion I never tire from.

I look forward to teaching the children and meeting you all.
