This week the children have been very busy and have particularly enjoyed using the Sensorial activities which support the refinement of visual discrimination, such as the Knobbed Cylinders, the Broad Stair and the Pink Tower.
Some of the activities were used independently while others were shared with a friend.
We have continued looking at 'Our Community' and some of the afternoon children helped mix paint before beginning to make a map of the local area.
We looked at lots of maps and the children chose yellow for the main roads and red for the smaller ones. Next, we need to add green spaces such as Highgate Woods and the tube station.
On Friday Miss Caroline made some madeleines with the children. They particularly enjoyed zesting the lemon to add a delicious flavour to these light and tasty treats.
