Dear Parents,

We would like to start by welcoming Ektoras to the nursery!

This week at Sherriff Road the children have been working extremely hard. They have continued to explore the Autumn season, where small groups of children were invited to join teachers in different areas to widen their knowledge and understanding.

  • Art and crafts – Mark Making Activity

  • Science – Colour Mixing

  • Sensorial – Tasting session

  • Understanding Of The World – “Celebrating Festivals”

  • Literacy – vocabulary “Rosh Hashanah” “Happy New Year”

  • Physical Development – Ants marching dance

On that note to those of you celebrating we would like to take this opportunity to wish you a

“Rosh Hashanah”.

Also, this week the children have been learning our song of the week

” When the Ants Go Marching In”

as well as our story of the week being “Ten Little Ants”.

As the weather continues to drop in temperature please can all children wear appropriate clothing and ensure they are clearly labelled with their name on it 🙂

Please can all parents be reminded we have a NO NUTS Policy at the Nursery.

Here at Sherriff Road we have a sharing fruit basket, if all children could please contribute 1 piece of fruit daily, we would be very grateful! All children get to enjoy a platter of fruit as well a lesson to promote healthy eating.

Also we would like to wish Zoe & Nate a Happy Birthday!

We hope you enjoy the pictures.
