A warm welcome to the start of the Autumn term, 2018. Hope you all had a wonderful summer!
We welcome Demetris, Elias, Elina, Felix, Mannie, Oscar and their families to Rainbow Montessori Nursery, Queens Park.
Introduction to the ‘Continents' is the topic of the term. Through weekly lessons and fun-filled activities the children will be ‘going-around-the-world,' and get to know the seven continents.
This term, the focus on a 'Famous Artist's work exploration' is Pablo Picasso's - Bouquet of Peace 1958. Inspired and linked with the colours of autumn leaves, the children will be encouraged to choose Picasso’s range of colours and apply the style into their own art work.
We are pleased to let you know that we have a new class for the childreen called "Mindfulness," this will take place on Thursday morning's with Miss Dushka.
All extra curriculum activites such as: Yoga, Dance, French, Cooking, Mandarin, Makaton and Mindfulness will commence on their respective days, from the 17th September 2018.
-We are a 'Nut Free,' environment so make sure not to bring any snacks or food that contain nuts in it.
- Fruits like grapes and alike need to be cut in small pieces.
- All children need to have their 'Blue Art Apron,' for art activities.
- All clothes including indoors and outdoors shoes must be labelled.
- Please try to contribute with fruit, vegetables or any other type of snack for our sharing basket as this simple act facilitates a sense of community and contribution in a wider sense.
We happily encourage your involvement in the nursery in anyway that you can. It could be coming in to read a story to the children, doing art & craft activities, cooking, talking about your profession or even helping on special days like festivals and so on. Please let Miss Tsehay know if you are interested as your contribution is beneficial to the children and us teachers too.
We look forward to a wonderful and successful school year ahead.
