This week the children had a wonderful time making fairy cakes and enjoyed eating them in the garden.
In Science, the children eagerly explored the classroom environment using the large horseshoe magnet.
In the garden children have been designing and making their own obstacle courses using planks of wood, hoops and logs. It was lovely to see them being so creative!
Another (very spontaneous!) garden activity was the exploration of the senses. The children walked and jumped (with bare feet) on top of bubble wrap. They seemed to find this activity very liberating!
Throughout this week children have been visiting local photographer, Elinea Emmot's photography exhibition in St Anne's church hall. The theme of the exhibition was London Portraits. The children seemed to really enjoy this cultural experience.
Many thanks to Maisie's mum, Taylor for coming in to Rainbow and reading to the children. They really enjoyed it ; )
Lastly, now that the weather is hot, if you haven't done so already please could you provide your child with a (named) sunhat to keep at nursery, and on sunny days please put sun cream on your child.
Wishing you all a relaxing Half Term break.
We look forward to seeing you back at Rainbow on Monday 5th June.
