The Rainbow Montessori School includes two beautiful nurseries, all situated in prime locations throughout North West London.
Our very first nursery was established by Rainbow’s founder, Linda Madden, in our West Hampstead premises in 1982 and was followed with the opening of a second nursery Queen’s Park in 2009.
Our nurseries cater for children aged 2 through to 5 years old.
Our ‘West Hampstead’ Rainbow Montessori Nursery in West Hampstead was the very first Rainbow Montessori School to be set up by Linda Madden in 1982.
Its instant success paved the way for all our future nurseries.
Our West Hampstead Nursery is situated within the premises of an incredibly spacious, bright and beautiful church hall on
Sheriff Road which is only moments from West Hampstead tube, train, and bus links. One of the most beautiful features of this nursery is its ample play area and stunning garden which our students have proudly taken part in creating.
As with all our Rainbow Nurseries, Sheriff Road follows traditional Montessorian teaching methods and structure.
At Rainbow we always strive to provide the best quality environment and educational materials for your child- Sheriff Road is MEAB accredited and all our teachers are fully qualified in Montessori education by recognized Montessori Training Colleges.
My name is Raluca Coroama
It is my privilege and great pleasure to introduce myself as the Head Teacher here at Rainbow Sherriff Road.
I am originally from Romania and began my Montessori journey by qualifying as a teacher with MCI and I have worked with Rainbow for the last 6 years.
I have a six year old son myself and understand well the vital importance of the early years for our children.
I thoroughly look forward to building new friendships, bonds and memories with the children and adults alike.
As an original member of Rainbow Montessori staff, Maggy's career has spanned Rainbow's entire 35 years making her an expert in her field!
As a close friend and colleague of Rainbow Montessori's original founder Linda Madden, with whom she worked directly under, Maggy has been involved in all aspects of the school especially the two nurseries where she is currently overseeing the management as the Head of Nurseries.
Hi my name is Siobhan I have always had a passion for teaching.
I was a nursery practitioner for almost 10 years, I wanted to gain more knowledge about the Montessori system and that is how I found Rainbow!
I look forward to meeting you all and learning more on this Rainbow journey
Hi, my name is Andreea and is my pleasure to be back in the Rainbow family.
I began my Montessori journey at Rainbow as a teacher assistant and qualified later as a Level 4 Montessori Teacher.
I look forward to grow and learn with and from all the children, build memories together and develop to their full potential.
‘Play is the work of the child’
As an original member of Rainbow Montessori staff, Miss Clare has been our house keeper at the Junior School for over 30 years.
Miss Clare will continue at both our nursery sites in West Hampstead and Queen's Park.
My name is Mia, and from the moment I discovered the work of Maria Montessori I knew I had found my vocation.
I trained at Montessori Centre International, and have a Degree in Montessori Education and Early Childhood Studies.
I was offered my first job at the same nursery where I did my initial teaching placement and was there for four years before I relocated to North West London.
I love to play the Ukulele and know the tunes for lots of nursery rhymes and songs. I also enjoy painting and creative art.
Maria Montessori believed that “one test of the correctness of educational procedure is the happiness of the child.”
The benefits of child-centred learning are all around us in the Montessori setting, and as a Montessori educator myself, I am privileged to be in a position to guide the children towards independence and fulfilment.
The children call me Miss Angeliki and I love it.
I’ve been married for over 20 years and had my own child that is now grown-up. My association with Rainbow goes way back; it is thanks to the teaching and inspira
tion of Linda Madden that I trained as a Montessori teacher, also over 20 years ago.
Following my graduation and over the years, I have taught in various Montessori schools around London. I was lucky to have worked with children of various ages, countries and family backgrounds.
I was born in Greece where I grew up in a farm before moving to London, also many years ago.
I still love nature, flower arrangements, traveling, cooking and most expressions of art.
But working with children and helping them shape their development is a passion I never tire from.
I look forward to teaching the children and meeting you all.
A warm hello! I'm Miss Fatima and I am very happy to be back in Rainbow! I used to be one of the Assistant Class teachers in Elementary 1 at Rainbow Montessori Junior School a few years ago.

I am currently studying BSc Psychology at the Open University.
I believe in a compassionate, person-centred approach and practice it both in and out of the classroom. I have over 10 years’ experience in Montessori and over 16 years’ experience in Early years Education.
